  • 2021: Olympic Club

    Troy Flanagan is inspired to have a mostly female volunteer team at the U.S. Women’s Open Championship being held at the historic Olympic Club in San Francisco, California. Troy works with Kimberly Gard to recruit women in the turfgrass profession.

    The Grass Ceiling Society is born.

    30 Turfgrass Industry Females make history at the Olympic Club, “Breaking the Grass Ceiling” and being recognized on a global platform.

  • 2022: Pine Needles

    David Fruchte with the historic Pine Needles Golf Club in Southern Pines, North Carolina carries the tradition forward and invites 32 Turfgrass Industry Females to volunteer at the 77th U.S. Women’s Open Championship. OG Grass Ceiling Society members return to carry on the tradition and are joined by next generation women in turf to make history once again on a global platform.

  • 2022: Elm Street Park

    Chris Ball and Sun Roesslein bring the tradition to the sports turf industry at the Little League Softball World Series in Greenville, North Carolina. 16 Turfgrass Industry female professionals volunteered on site at Stallings Stadium at Elm Street Park.

  • 2023: Pebble Beach

    For the third year in a row, the Women in Turf Team will volunteer at the U.S. Women’s Open. A hybrid of OG and next generation female turf professionals will embark on Pebble Beach, California in July 2023.

  • 2023: Elm Street Park

    The Women in Turf Team will return to Stallings Stadium at Elm Street Park in Greenville, North Carolina for their second year of volunteering at the Little League Softball World Series in August 2023.
